Government websites fail mobile access tests

Long loading times is just one problem, but with Text-to-Speech Technology reaching a human like quality levels and the license cost becoming very affordable (i.e. TrueVocie TTS), there is no reason not to add TTS to all regular and, even more importantly, mobile Government sites to make it possible to hear the content, since it can be really difficult to read on the small mobile screen …….

In the US with Section 508 being in place, many Government sites slowly are becoming  compliant by using Text-to-Speech Technology…..
